Side Rail Stack Drop

Prop/Novelty Intermediate

At the 2006 World Championships, I showed a spectator the Four Rail Stack Drop. He decided to modify it to the side rail. I hit the cue ball into the side rail, dropping the supported ball. The cue ball comes off the other side rail and returns to kick the formerly supported ball into the side pocket. I got an extra kiss from one of the supporting balls this time around. Learn how!

Timing Masse

Masse Advanced

First, I send an object ball around the table 5 rails. While it's moving, I shoot a rocket masse, pocketing an object ball, and have the cue ball masse down the table to meet the first object ball and kick it in the corner. I first saw this shot attempted by Paul Gerni in ESPN Trick Shot Magic 2001. Learn how!

Corner Collation

Prop/Novelty Intermediate

Here's a speed shot Ralph Eckert used in the 2008 World Cup of Trick Shots. The cue ball is first hit three rails around the table. In the meantime, five object balls are machine-gunned into the corner pocket before the cue ball gets there. Learn how!

I'm Going Over There

Here's a pretty easy shot where two balls stuff in the corner pocket, but another one decides to go around the table four rails to the opposite corner pocket. Learn how!

Rainbow Jump Masse

Masse Advanced

This is the jump-masse version of the Rainbow Masse. I jump the cue ball out of the rack and it makes a beautiful arc around the balls and pockets the hanging ball in the corner pocket. Learn how!

Sky Hook

Masse Advanced

I developed this shot to try to pocket a few more balls with a jump masse stroke. The cue ball hits the cluster by the side pocket, splitting one into the side and one up into the corner. The cue ball then jumps over the blocker balls, slides across the table, off the far rail and masse's back to get the hanging ball in the far corner. Learn how!

Jump Kick Split

Jump Intermediate

This is a great shot to check if your aim and jump stroke are straight. Mine's not really and I end up adjusting a bit in this shot. The objective is to jump the cue ball over the two ball combination, kick of the end rail and come back to make the two ball combination split into their respective corners.  Learn how!

Pelinga's Jump Hook

Prop/Novelty Advanced

This is an extreme jump-draw shot. I pocket one ball across the table into the side pocket while the cue ball jumps over a bridge and draws around the rack to pocket a hanging ball in the corner. This shot was invented by Stefano Pelinga. Learn how!

3, 2, 1 -- 1, 2, 3

Prop/Novelty Beginner

No cue ball required! I shoot all the balls in to the far corner pocket, hitting the 3 first, then the 2, and finally the 1, but the 1 ball goes first, followed by the 2 and then the 3. I first saw Sebastian Giumelli do this shot on ESPN Trick Shot Magic 2003Learn how!

Three Rail Reverse

Bank/Kick Beginner

The same setup as with the Two Rail Reverse, but this time the object ball goes in the opposite side pocket after travelling an extra table width, coming off a third rail. This is similar to a shot in the Artistic Pool Program, except in the program, the object ball is in the middle of the table. I think this shot is more difficult. Again, I first saw this on Willie Joplin's video. Learn how!
