Robin Dodson Jump

On this shot, I jump over a set of blocker balls and hit the long rail first. Then the cue ball hits the short rail and reverses to nip the hanging ball in the side pocket. Robin Dodson showed me this shot at the 2006 Super Billiards Expo at her booth, so I use her jump cue to shoot it.   Learn how!

Joplin's Dream Shot

The story goes, Willie Joplin came up with this shot in his dream. I pocket all four balls in one stroke, the end balls splitting in to the corner pockets, one of the middle balls forces its way through to the side pocket while the other one banks cross side.   Learn how!

3, 2, 1 -- 1, 2, 3

No cue ball required! I shoot all the balls in to the far corner pocket, hitting the 3 first, then the 2, and finally the 1, but the 1 ball goes first, followed by the 2 and then the 3. I first saw Sebastian Giumelli do this shot on ESPN Trick Shot Magic. I think the year was 2004.   Learn how!

Timing Masse

First, I send an object ball around the table 5 rails. While it's moving, I shoot a rocket masse, pocketing an object ball, and have the cue ball masse down the table to meet the first object ball and kick it in the corner. I first saw this shot attempted by Paul Gerni in ESPN Trick Shot Magic 2001.   Learn how!

Kyoto Freeway

This is another setup shot invented by Yoshikazu Kimura. It was named by Paul Gerni as Kyoto Freeway for the balls travelling in different directions at different speeds. Two balls split in the corner pockets near where I shoot from. The cue ball goes down and splits the other combination into the corner pockets while the final two balls slowly trickle down, following them in.   Learn how!
