Where'd Glenn Go

In an exhibition, I'd shoot this shot off the mouth of an unsuspecting vic, I mean, volunteer. Glenn was going to help me do it, but he backed out, so I used the ball tray to elevate the object ball. The cue ball is elevated off the rail too, so you have to hit it just right so it catches the object ball in flight and hits it at the correct angle to pocket it in the corner.  Learn how!

Double Shot

This was the first trick shot I ever learned. I saw it when Charlie Darling pulled it out in Trick Shot Magic 2002. After pocketing the object ball the first time, as the cue ball goes around the table, I pull the object ball back out of the pocket and set it up to get knocked in again. Charlie added a bit extra by drinking a shot before the object ball got hit a second time.  Learn how!

Tray Side Kick

Here's another shot using the ball tray as an extra rail. I send the cue ball around 3 rails, off the tray, and then over to make the hanging ball in the side pocket. I just came up with this shot when I was packing up at the end of a session and thought I'd try it to see if it worked. Lo and behold, it does!  Learn how!

Rail Draw Arc

This is a neat little draw shot that ends up tracing an arcing path, almost like a masse shot. The cue ball is pinched between the rail and an object ball and the natural bank angles are obstructed by the arc of other object balls. Shooting with some draw and right english, I compress the rail and curve around the obstructing balls making the final stripe in the corner pocket.  Learn how!

Over and Under Extreme

I combined two classic shots to come up with this. It's really an extension to the Over and Under shot, but I add in the four ball draw back. I split the three ball cluster, the cue ball jumps over the bridge, and draws back under the bridge over half the table length to get the final ball hanging in the corner.  Learn how!
