This shot is an extension of the smily face/slam dunk/half moon shot, which only uses 5 balls. The two extra balls form the bottom part of the question mark. In one shot, seven balls are scattered into six pockets. Mike Massey and Rick Malm call this Inquisitive, but I use this clip at the end of my presentations to invite questions. Learn how! |

This is a nifty little tube shot I concocted while on vacation. It'll test the straightness of your stroke. The cue ball takes out the first tube and sends the object ball on the table to take out the other tube and pot in the side. The cue ball stops under the first ball, then the ball drops, landing on the cue ball and sending each rolling towards one of the side pockets where the first ball falls and the cue ball pockets a second ball. Here's a close draw shot where I pocket one ball in the corner, taking out a tube and drawing the cue ball two rails pocket the second ball in the same corner. Mike Massey used a similar shot in ESPN Trick Shot Magic 2003. Sometimes this shot is played with stacked balls in the corner, but then the object ball you hit doesn't go. Other times, it's just played as a position shot where the cue ball has to land in a zone near the corner pocket. Learn how! |

Some fans were having problem with the 7 Rail Bank, so I offer the 7 Rail Chain Reaction. Charles Darling actually used this shot in ESPN Trick Shot Magic 2003. Basically, you come up a bit short, so you set up a couple sets of a ball on the table frozen to another one on a piece of chalk. Once the cue ball goes 7 rails, it hits the first ball creating a chain reaction to pocket the second ball on the chalk. Learn how! |

Here's one of Mike Massey's inventions. The cue ball is pretty well trapped against the side rail and some blocker balls. With the right stroke though, you can kick it off a couple rails and spin it around the wall to pocket a ball in the upper corner. Learn how! |
