About The Shot

This shot is similar to the Side Point 2 Railer, except the cue ball goes a couple more rails around the table. I hit into the side pocket point and the cue ball runs 4 more rails to come back for the hanging ball in the corner pocket.

Make This Shot

The set up for this shot is incredibly simple, as you can see. Place a hanging ball in the corner pocket and the cue ball in the middle of the table, more or less. I prefer the cue ball to be between the points of the side pocket, away from the hanging ball.

The key to getting this shot is finding out where to aim. If it's not obvious, I hit the side pocket point that's on the opposite side to where the object ball is. I like to start with the cue ball directly out from that side pocket point. I use a little bit of draw also with running english, in this case it's right hand english. I aim directly at the point and make adjustments from there. If it's running long, which it tends to do, I move the cue ball just slightly closer to the center of the table, keeping it on the long centerline. Hit this one harder than the 2 railer, and you don't need to use draw, just lots of right.
