It depends how it's missing. If it's hitting one of the other side pocket balls, then you can try moving the cluster closer to the pocket. This will get the first two balls in the side pocket quicker. If it's just not going straight, then you may be adding spin to the cue ball which will throw it off, or it may not be frozen to both of the corner balls.
