Place the first object ball one ball widths from the long rail with its edge lined up with point of the corner pocket. The cue ball is placed one-eighth to one-quarter of an inch away, lined up approximately with the first diamond on the long rail. On slower cloth, the four ball wall can be placed at the second diamond. On faster cloth, it's possible to move the wall to the third diamond and maybe add another ball or two. I've done it with five.

Aim for the second diamond to start with and make incremental adjustments depending on if you're not clearing the wall or clearing it too much. Use 15 to 20 degrees elevation, put maximum follow and a half-tip of right english. Stroke over the cue ball. You might think you miscue when you hit it.
