Masse on break cloth?

Tried to bang out some masse practice for the World's this past weekend. Anyone else having to rediscover how to hit a bunch of the masse shots with a break cloth? I have some scrap Simonis 860 I've been using, but it eats up the spin on the cue ball. Sometimes, the cue ball won't even slide out and ends up going the opposite way I intended. It also seems to jump a little more than I'm used to, unless of course I'm trying to do a jump-masse.

I am use to doing masse shots with a break cloth cause I practice them at the pool hall while using one. On my home take i just let the masse shots loose though lol. I don't see much of a difference with the cloth. I think the cloth I use is left over pieces of championship.

I usually use a piece of hard plastic underneath the cue ball if I need to protect the table. Maybe I just need to wear the break cloth down a bit more. Oh well. See you next week!

Ya Tim, the break cloth really throws a wrench in the middle of things lol. I've been practicing with a break cloth since I got the memo from Mark. I guess it's not too too bad if the break cloth is an actual piece of simonis 860. I will have plenty of peices in case some needs one.
